The furniture factory asked to do the animation of the table assembly. Provided the usual assembly drawings:
I used the build sequence, but came up with animations of transitions from one plan to another.
I created the main elements of the table on my own. The most difficult detail was the legs. Here the drawings did not indicate the exact dimensions and had to improvise:
And universal objects of self-tapping screws, screws, wrench, etc., downloaded from the Internet. I also prepared small builds. For example, I had a hole prepared for the self-tapping screw for it. I put all this on the assembly and it turned out that I needed to combine the holes and cut them out of the necessary parts.
After the objects were prepared, I assembled the table model and began to animate it.
The most difficult part of the animation was the correct timings between actions, as well as the correct hierarchy of objects. So I divided the table into 2 assemblies – the top of the table and the bottom. And the top was also divided into two assemblies – the base and the cover. So it was possible to animate each assembly separately and put them together.
Also, for installation, I had to make assembly animations – this is the twisting of the screws with a screwdriver, clogging the dowels. I didn’t do such animations on the main build because they would make it too difficult to build and animation. Here is an example of such an animation:
It remains no less difficult task – to make the final installation.
So I used certain presets and put together a video stopping it in the right places for heading animations, and also placed callouts:
And the icing on the cake was the insertion of the table animation with dishes. To make the assembly more interesting and beautiful:
Here I used standard items from the Cinema4D library. Picked up the chairs that matched the table. He placed wine and glasses with it, plates, napkins, knives and forks, as well as apples and flowers. In addition, against the background, I made: a carpet, a curtain with a curtain with a tulle, a window with a window sill and a battery, as well as a refrigerator in the background.
