3D VFX Falling Henkals for Georgian Restaurants

I was approached by a customer – a restaurant of Georgian cuisine to create VFX videos with falling henkals.

I was given shooting files, presumably from iPhone14 locations.

First of all, I developed the Henkali 3D model.

To make them look more realistic, when creating material, I used subsurface Scatteringalthough this technology slows down the rendering process greatly.

The next step was to track all the scenes. Eg

In addition to the tracking itself, I had to create primitives to use them in further simulation because falling khinkali would interact with the environment. This is a rather complex and long process to set everything correctly. Perhaps there were a lot of items in these scenes and it took a lot of time to model.

After the tracking, I did the export and all that remained was to select the Henkal location options and set up the simulation.
